Stella was found in Texas this past summer in 100+ degree heat suffering from heat exhaustion, tick borne diseases, and heartworms. She was emaciated and anemic and wouldn’t have lasted more than another day or two on her own. She has since received a blood transfusion and medication for the tick diseases and was well enough to be transported to MD in early September. Stella is now resting comfortably in a foster home where she will complete her heartworm treatment and will be spayed prior to adoption. She is petite at around 26 lbs and her breed is anyone’s best guess but it appears that she lived in a home at some point. Her foster reports that she is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and knows sit, paw, and down. She is well behaved in the house and also LOVES bath time!
