Please welcome Murphy (formerly known as Bruce) to Black Dogs and Company Rescue! We were able to pull Murphy from a high-kill shelter in TX thanks to several generous donations from those following his Facebook post. Murphy came to the shelter as a stray. He was underweight, had significant ear infections and severe hair loss likely due to mange and fleas. He was treated, brought up to date on all his shots and arrived in MD on Jan. 21.
Murphy is a black lab mix who weighs 45 lbs. He is estimated to be 6-10 years old (many of his teeth have been worn down to the gums making it difficult to assign a more exact age). Murphy is quite the happy dog! He loves to play, does great with other dogs and cats and is just as sweet as they come. Murphy’s foster mom is pampering his skin with oils and salves and very good food to help him grow his coat back as soon as possible.
