Kiva is a handsome 1 year old German Shepherd mix who joined BDCR with his sister who has since been adopted.  We noticed Kiva was painful in his hips and sought several opinions from surgeons who we trust.  He had his first FHO surgery in March and is healing well.  He will need a second surgery in a few months.  In spite of it all, Kiva remains bright and happy, albeit a bit antsy as he’s had to be kept on crate rest during his recovery (no small feat for a young shepherd pup!).  The total for the first hip was $2,750.  Donations for the second surgery are appreciated!
